The event was broadcast live via “Zoom Webinar”, inviting six guests from different fields to share their opinions about modern architecture, have a roundtable discussion with the audiences and explore the story of Macao modern architecture. This event has received extensive attention from people of different backgrounds around the world.

"Historic Centre of Macao" was inscribed as "World Cultural Heritage" by UNESCO in 2005, becoming the 31st World Cultural Heritage in China. Since then, the Macao government has been vigorously promoting cultural heritage, and it is expected to raise awareness and enhance the understanding of the local community regarding local cultural heritage. This event focuses on the modern architecture of Macau and aims to explore the story behind the architecture. The whole project focused on the close relationship between architecture, humanities and history, and used cameras to record the unique and charming integration of modern architecture and the city texture. The event was divided into two parts. In the first half, students from IFTM provided an “online tour"; in the second half, guests from different fields, including the inheritors and researcher of Macao Intangible Cultural Heritage “Festival of Drunken Dragon”, two outstanding seniors from IFTM and a professor from Southwest Jiao tong University were invited to interact with the audience in terms of Q&A and narrated the "story of modern architecture in Macao" from different perspectives.

This event is a useful attempt to convey the value of cultural heritage through the Internet during the virus situation so that people can feel the unique historical humanities and cultural background of Macao without going out. At the same time, the online event also welcomes audiences from all over the world to get familiar with and understand Macao and encourages audiences to pay more attention and reflect on the current condition of heritage management in Macao. Finally, the students also stated that they only had two weeks to prepare this event, which requires the skills of overall planning and teamwork. This project has facilitated a meaningful exploration of the protection of Macao's cultural heritage and made a certain contribution to the storytelling of Macao.
